Custom grazing work done with care, by Josh…

…with the help of Charlotte, Lady, Nicey, Penny, Maya, Fern, Meredith, Myrtle, Gladys, Snowball, Floppy, and all their babies and friends.

My farm’s goat enterprise operates in this way that allows me to share the many, many benefits of animals on the land.

The herd moves every day, leap-frogging between electric-net fences and polywire rope temporary fence. I built my own fencer-unit to energize it with the sun, so we can graze where extension cords don’t reach.

It’s not all about giving the animals the best forage…

MIG (Management Intensive Grazing) allows the farmer to ration access to forage daily. This results in animals with a healthy appetite and a heavy footprint.

It’s all about the animal impact that I can create. Combine manure, selective defoliation, and trampling, then follow it up with plenty of rest. It’s a recipe for soil health and fertility.

Graziers in Africa have developed this kind of farming as a response to habitat loss and desertification, watch this video with Allan Savory to hear his story…

Would you like to share in regeneration?

Grazing is my full time job. I enjoy the privilege of grazing field boundaries and unexplored woods close to home. I form a relationship with the land and look forward to feeding my goats there again “when that paddock fills back in”.

Many of my customers have frustration with vegetation that is hard to manage, inaccessible, and quickly getting out of hand. My goats are a natural choice to manage their woodlands, so I get paid to bring them out and shepherd the herd through the property.

I offer deep discounts for repeat customers. Because I like to see how an ecosystem develops, and because well-timed repeated grazing has a much greater effect than a once-through. I intend to see your land-management goals through.
